Discover Lowbrau

Lowbrau in Sacramento is a local favorite that perfectly blends the charm of a cozy diner with a vibrant, modern atmosphere. Located at 1050 20th St, Sacramento, CA 95811, United States, this spot is the ideal destination for anyone craving hearty, delicious food in a laid-back setting. Whether you're stopping by for lunch, a casual dinner, or just to enjoy a few drinks with friends, Lowbrau never fails to impress.

Upon stepping into Lowbrau, the welcoming atmosphere immediately grabs your attention. The décor is a mix of industrial and rustic elements, creating a space that's both inviting and stylish. With its open seating arrangement, you feel like you’re part of the action, whether you're sitting at the bar or in one of the booths. It's the kind of place where you can come as you are-whether you're dressed up for a night out or coming in after a busy day.

What really sets Lowbrau apart is its menu. While they offer a variety of delicious dishes, the standout items are their sausages, which are not only flavorful but also crafted with high-quality ingredients. One of the most popular choices is the "Lowbrau Sausage Sampler," which gives you a chance to try different varieties. Each sausage is served with house-made mustard and sauerkraut, making for a meal that's as authentic as it is satisfying. For those with a larger appetite, the “Pretzel Sandwich” is a must-try-an oversized, soft pretzel stuffed with sausage and cheese, perfect for sharing or enjoying solo.

In addition to sausages, Lowbrau has a fantastic selection of shareable plates. If you’re in the mood for something light but flavorful, the “Brussels Sprouts” are a fan favorite, crispy and perfectly seasoned. The “Poutine,” a Canadian-inspired dish with fries, gravy, and cheese curds, also deserves a mention-it’s indulgent, comforting, and a great way to round out your meal.

Lowbrau’s drink menu is equally impressive. The bar boasts a wide variety of craft beers, both local and international, which pair perfectly with their menu offerings. Whether you’re a beer connoisseur or just someone who enjoys a cold one, there’s something for everyone here. Don’t miss the "Lowbrau Lager," a crisp and refreshing beer that complements their sausages beautifully. If you're in the mood for something different, their cocktails are creative and fun. One standout is the “Sazerac,” a classic cocktail with a modern twist that's both bold and flavorful.

If you’re planning a visit during the weekend, you’ll want to get there early or make a reservation. Lowbrau is popular, especially in the evenings, and it can fill up quickly. While the bustling vibe is part of its charm, a reservation ensures you won’t have to wait too long to grab a seat.

The service at Lowbrau is another reason customers keep coming back. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, offering helpful recommendations without being pushy. They create a comfortable environment that feels more like hanging out with friends than dining out at a restaurant.

What about the overall experience? The atmosphere, the food, and the drinks combine to make Lowbrau a memorable dining destination. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy great food, and have a drink with friends, all while enjoying the lively, upbeat vibe that Sacramento is known for. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Lowbrau is worth checking out.

For anyone looking to enjoy a meal that’s full of flavor and served with a side of great atmosphere, this spot stands out as a go-to in Sacramento. From the quality of the food to the drink selections, everything is done with care and attention to detail. Make sure to stop by next time you're in the area-you won't be disappointed.

  • I didn't eat pork and beef, but wanted a sausage, so I got the Italian (potatoes+sage). I was not expecting it to be any impressive, but it was actually really good! With a firmness I have no idea how they achieved! We went on a rainy week night and it was pretty empty, not sure if it'd get annoying when crowded.

  • Place has date night spot all over it, great booze selection. Beer but the sleeper are the craft cocktails, the bar staff was running and gunning, great service. The burger was quite delicious, fries very very good! All the dips were spot on, I would want to try them all for the pretzels next time. Hot chicken sandwich and do the sausage but be sure to ask for mustards (all of them)!

  • LowBrau is a staple for a night out. Depending on when you go you'll get a different experience. Some nights they have house music, electric music, pop music, etc.. Depending on the dj and the night you may get a lot of people dancing or it might feel kinda dead. Their themed dance nights are so fun and I think when they are busier. Motown Monday gets very very packed but the music is made for dancing and the energy is great for meeting new people. I've enjoyed all the drinks I've gotten here but my go tos are their ciders and the bees knees cocktail. The only food I've had here is their fries which are tasty so I'll have to check out the food menu sometime. Definitely come check it out on your next night out or if you wanna sit on the patio during the next nice weather day with your friends. The patio is also dog friendly and the location is so convenient.

  • Fries are hot and crispy and service is exceptional the staff was extremely accommodating when I came here with my five month old daughter. I needed to change her diaper and they made me feel comfortable and not like a burden when needing somewhere to change her. I came here during happy hour on a Monday The bartender was great!
